Here are a few simple ways to know you are in good hands;
Equipment – Odds are if a “professional” shows up to your home with a Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire electric or gas pressure washer; they don’t know what they are doing. Simply put, these “professionals” are going to use pressure to every square inch of your home. Any company looking to use nothing but straight pressure to clean a home has a high chance of damaging or leaving your home looking uneven when cleaned. It’s very easy with old siding to disturb oxidation and leaving stripes behind.
Our equipment is commercial grade and capable of cleaning upwards of 4 stories from the ground; in most instances without a ladder. This is a photo of our equipment, we have tanks to hold our House-washing Detergents. This is fed through a blend manifold at the exact concentration we need to wash your home. Don’t let the size of this skid fool you, it has capabilities to clean upwards of up to 15,000Sq/ft+ per day. That’s about 5 homes if they were all side by side!
Insurance – When we talk about insurance, we talk about peace of mind. Sometimes professionals make mistakes, no matter what it will happen. Though we pride ourselves on having very minimal issues you can have peace of mind knowing you are covered! We have Commercial General Liability & WSIB Coverage (Verifiable on the WSIB website). We are more than happy to provide this information with current & prospecting clients.
Before & After – Can the contractor in question provide authentic before & after photo’s on demand? All of our photo’s at Mercer’s Softwash are genuine to us, we do not use stock photos or photos from other companies. We believe in being extremely transparent with all of our clients and know that first impressions are important to you. We will show you what we have to offer and will not guarantee a result we know we can’t achieve!
Able to Explain the Processes – Our process is simple; unless we are completing a job involving hardscape (concrete, interlock brick, etc) pressure is the last thing we think of to complete a job. Sometimes we may need to use a soft brush to remove hardened lichen off of eaves but this is generally the only instance when pressure is applied. We have industry leading, commercial grade detergents that allow us to remove various types of stains & organic growth.
Reviews – Always confirm that there are recent reviews of the contractor you are hiring. We have reviews over many platforms. The platform we have most reviews on is our Google My Business Profile (https://g.co/kgs/FE6t7xx).
If your contractor has hit all the points then you are likely in good hands. If you want certainty you are in good hands try us at Mercer’s Softwash for any exterior cleaning project you might have!
